The Madrid Collection is planned in both an English Edition and a Spanish Edition. We are currently prioritising the English Edition for the first launch, with the Spanish Edition to follow. Both will share the same SHALIM philosophy and core experience, with hosting and guidance in the language of each Edition.

We are choosing our Madrid hotel partner now. Once confirmed, SHALIM participants will receive a direct booking link with a preferred rate agreed with the hotel, making the process simple. Accommodation is not included in the Collection price and is booked and paid separately. Participants are welcome to stay with our partner hotel or choose alternative accommodation if they prefer.

Or you may have some previous experience in dance, movement or another artistic practice and want to explore it more deeply.

Verónica Ballesta

Founder · Artistic Director · Collection Curator

Verónica Ballesta is a Spanish dancer, choreographer and artistic director with more than 25 years of experience across musical theatre, television, live performance, choreography and creative production.

Through SHALIM, Verónica leads the artistic vision, Collection curation and creative direction.
Operations & structure

Christian Young

Operations Director

Christian leads the operational side of SHALIM, bringing structure to the planning, coordination, partnerships and delivery behind each Collection.

His role spans operational planning, partner coordination, logistics and the systems that support SHALIM internationally.

No. This is not an audition, and you do not need to be a professional. SHALIM welcomes professionals, experienced creatives and people reconnecting with an artistic practice. Some previous familiarity with dance, movement or artistic practice is expected.

Maximum 15 participants per Collection.

Absolutely. SHALIM is designed for people arriving on their own as well as with a partner or friend. The small-group format makes it easy for connection to develop naturally.
